Raffaele G. Di Martino, Esq.
Biography

          Mr. Di Martino was born and raised in Italy, where he spent his youth, before moving to the United States.  He received his formal legal education in Italy, at the law school of La Sapienza University of Rome.  Mr. Di Martino is highly knowledgeable in both Italian and American Law.

Mr. Di Martino is a member of the State Bars of California and Louisiana, and is an attorney on the recommended list of the Italian Consulate General in Los Angeles.

Before starting his legal career, Mr. Di Martino worked from 2000 to 2002, as Vice Editor-in-Chief for a publishing company in Vancouver, British Columbia.  In 2002, he was hired by the Italian Cultural Centre, one of the most prestigious cultural venues of the City of Vancouver, becoming its youngest Director for Cultural and Social Programs.

In 2003 Mr. Di Martino was offered a position in Los Angeles, California, as in-house counsel for a large international non-profit organization, specializing in International social security benefits and International Labor law. Between 2005 and 2007, Mr. Di Martino was on contract for two large national law firms in matters involving business and commercial litigation, as well as complex Anti-Trust litigation.  Since 2006, Mr. Di Martino combined with Jason and Associates, in Los Angeles, California, where he provides assistance in the areas of International Business law, with emphasis on corporate structures and trans-border transactions, Entertainment law related to film and music production and distribution, domestic and international real estate transactions, business immigration.

From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Di Martino was appointed Advisor for Lazio Region of Italy in matters involving relations between the Lazio Region of Italy and the United States.  In this capacity he provided advice to the government of Lazio Region on how to effectively promote the business, trade, culture and tourism of Lazio in the United States. 

Mr. Di Martino is the author of several articles and presentations regarding the “brain drain” from Italy and has lectured as guest speaker in Italy and the United States on the problems related to skilled and business immigration from Italy to the United States.
