Biography
Samuel J. Jason was admitted to practice in California on April 1979. His legal practice has always been based in the Los Angeles area. Mr. Jason received his formal legal education in Vancouver, British Columbia, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
Mr. Jason is a member of the State Bar of California, and is an inactive member of the District of Columbia Bar Association. Mr. Jason has been admitted to the Federal District Courts in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition he is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the American Immigration Law Association. Mr. Jason is also a member of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West based in Los Angeles, California.
In his almost thirty years of practice, Mr. Jason has specialized in various areas of the law such as business and family immigration, corporate law, civil litigation and international transactional matters with a wide clientele from within the United States and abroad.
In 1988, Mr. Jason received the State Bar of California’s President’s Award for Pro Bono Legal Services and has served on various boards and committees of local organizations such as the Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles and he was a volunteer in the Legal Department at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, for a period of 25 years. In 2010 Mr. Jason was elected member to the Board of Directors of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West of Los Angeles.
After having started a law firm with three offices in Southern California with six partners and over forty employees, Mr. Jason founded in 1992 the Law Offices of Samuel J. Jason in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Jason has travelled the world extensively from Hong Kong to Italy, from New Zealand to Israel to Argentina. He is an avid reader of history books and has an interest in international politics and cross-border relations. Mr. Jason enjoys hiking the Santa Monica Mountains and the climbing in the Dolomites Mountains in Italy and in the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada.
